The Introduction to Sailing 1 course costs $210 inc gst, and includes a soft instruction book and logbook.

Areas covered include:

Basic clothing and equipment selection, sailing terminology, boat launch and recovery, capsize recovery in shallow water, rigging of the boat, sailing a reaching course, basic sailing rules and theory.

On completion you will be equipped to start sailng. 

This course requires a minimum of six participants (combined with Start Sailing 1&2) to go ahead.

This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a dinghy. All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Sailing Intro completion certificate.
