About Membership
Membership of Albury Wodonga Yacht Club
The Albury Wodonga Yacht Club welcomes new members and we invite you to come out to our Club for a look at our facilities. Our Season runs from September until after Easter in April. The Club is open most Saturdays (as the Discover Sailing Centre operates then) and all day Sunday as we have racing from 9am in the mornings.
Types of Membership
As a Club we offer membership options to suit everyone, with a focus on families being able to enjoy sailing and the use of the Club’s facilities. Membership is from the 1st of July to the 30th of June each year. We offer a 6 month membership for those joining in the second half of the year.
“Sailing” and “Social” (non sailing) memberships are offered with a sliding price scale for families to obtain a capped rate.
We also offer a “Volunteer” membership where people can join the Club and in place of a fee payable they volunteer their time at least one weekend a month. Volunteer duties may include on water race management, Discover Sailing Centre activities, Sailability, being part of the Yard Arm Cafe team or the Mow & Grow team (gardens & lawns).
All memberships need to be applied for / renewed online. Payment must be made online for your membership to be completed. New applications must be approved by the Committee before membership becomes valid.

2023-2024 Fee schedule
Fees will be based on the number of family members registered, with an upper limit (cap) based on two adults and three children.
A schedule of the 2023 - 2024 fees is listed below.

*Joining fee is waived if the new member completes a course through the Discover Sailing Centre. This is limited to Tackers (kids learn to sail), Dinghy Program (adult learn to sail), Keelboat Courses, First Aid and Powerboat Courses.
**The joining fee includes 1 Access Card. This fee is for the purchase of Additional Access Cards.
Please note membership fees DO NOT include boat storage. Boat Storage can be paid for online for existing storage permit holders requesting the same bay. Members requiring storage for new or additional boats can contact the AWYCStorage Rep to be sent an application link.
Membership is applied for and renewed online. This ensures data is captured in a consistent manner and reduces administration for our volunteers.
During the application / renewal process, information such as your Boat Registration details, Racing Fees, Storage requirements and Working with Children Check will be collected. Please have this information handy before going online.
