“Hey Dad, what does it mean when the ocean turns all black?”

The Around French Island Catamaran Challenge is an off-the beach catamaran event like no other: competitors are given a seven-hour limit to circumnavigate French Island in the middle of Westernport Bay, dealing with tides, fluky winds, commercial shipping channels, shoals, and hazards, all on top of nutrition, hydration, mental resilience and physical exhaustion.
